Little's Food King awarded Chamber Business of the Month for October

Oct. 05, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

Your Friendly Neighborhood Grocery Store, Little's Food King prides itself on being locally owned and operated. Little's Food King was established in 2007 when first opening their doors in Buffalo. Thanks to community support of the Buffalo store, a second location in Winfield was opened in March 2011.

Owner Bobby Little is attempting to do what many small business owners have struggled with in recent years, compete with big box stores.

"We strive to offer the customer a better experience, excellent customer service, and truly appreciate their business and support. It's something that is not out there like it used to be. That is the key to our survival," Little said.

As with all locally owned businesses, the community is what Little's Food King works hard to be a part of, whether it is at sporting events, sponsoring civic activities, or helping a neighbor in need.

"The timing for being the Putnam County Chamber business of the month is great for us and such an honor," Little said. The Winfield location will be having a truckload meat sale from Oct. 4-6 with prices that you haven't seen in a while. Offers will include Boneless Pork Loin for $1.59 per pound, Family pack Ground Beef for $1.69 per pound, whole Boston Butts for $1.39 per pound, and whole Boneless Ribeyes (sliced free) for $5.99 per pound. These are just a few of the items that will be offered. Be on the lookout for the ad in Sunday's newspaper and a flyer that will be mailed to local residents in Putnam County.

"We are very proud to be a part of these communities. We want your business and value the support of your family and the community," Little said. "Come out and see us at one of our two locations."

Businesses selected for "Business of the Month" are drawn from the names of Chamber members attending Business After Hours.
