Feb. 22, 2013 @ 11:05 AM

HURRICANE — The Greenhouse of Teays Valley has planned a feast for the senses in the coming month. There’s something for the eyes, ears, and, of course, the mouth, at one of the various events in the next few weeks.

The community is invited, but reservations are required for these events:

Fondue Feast: 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Interactive dining experience offers guests the fun of cooking assorted meats in oil pots and vegetables in Mongolian hot pots filled with bubbling beef broth. The evening will also allow guests to dip their way not only through several types of cheese, but chocolate, too. Wine and beer, in moderation, is included for $30 per guest.

Sycamore Ridge Band: Saturday, March 2. Dinner prepared by Chef Joe Reckard, followed by dancing to the classic rock sounds of the Sycamore Ridge Band. Playing favorite hits from the Doors, the Rolling Stones, the Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top and more. $35 per guest.

Holly Pop Class: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 5. Instructional baking class led by Holly Pops owner, Holly Hale. Guests will learn Holly’s secrets to baking and decorating sumptuous cake pops at home. Includes a large appetizer buffet for $25 per guest. Beer and wine will be sold separately.

Uncork & Create: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 7. Express your inner artist, unwind with your favorite beverage and let an accomplished West Virginia artist guide you step-by-step in the creation of a 16-by-20 take-home masterpiece. No art experience is required to participate. Includes an appetizer buffet. $55 per guest, with beer and wine being sold separately. Register online at www.uncorkandcreate.com.

Interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Theater: 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 15-16. Murder and Merriment performs “Goering’s Diamonds.” To solve the mystery, guests will be transported back to 1945, where in Lyon, France, a valuable cache of diamonds, once stolen by Nazi Reichsmarchall, Hermann Goering, has been liberated by the United States Army. Now the diamonds have gone missing, and everyone’s dying to get their hands on them. Includes French dinner prepared by Chef Reckard. $40 per guest.

The Greenhouse of Teays Valley is located at 3554 Teays Valley Road in Hurricane. Reservations for these and other upcoming events can be made by calling 304-397-6316.  Event information is also available by visiting The Greenhouse of Teays Valley at www.thegreenhouseteaysvalley.com or on Facebook.
