Spring-like temps bring folks outside
HURRICANE — Putnam County got a preview of spring last weekend when temperatures soared into the 70s. Many folks took advantage of the weather to head outside to one of several parks in the county, including Hurricane’s Valley Park, to wet a line or just enjoy the sunshine.
The warm weather was interrupted, however, with colder temperatures and even some snow squalls mid-week. But according to WCHS Chief Meteorologist Jim Barach, the weather was expected to come back around into the “seasonable” zone by today, March 14, with a high of 52 degrees. The high should remain in the 50s for the most of the week. Rain is called for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but things should dry out by Wednesday.
