Halloween Party for individuals with special needs planned at YMCA

Oct. 11, 2013 @ 09:10 AM

SCOTT DEPOT -- JeffersonWhitney Foundation, a Hurricane based non-profit organization that supports organizations that serve those with special needs, is joining Gateway Christian Church to bring a family friendly Halloween Party for people with special needs to the Tri-County YMCA from 5:30-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Participants will enjoy games, crafts, snacks and a special trunk-or-treat in the parking lot, complete with a costume contest at the end of the evening.

Parents may choose to drop their children off at the YMCA and then go to The Greenhouse of Teays Valley in Hurricane for a free dinner from 6-7:30 p.m., then return to the YMCA in time for the costume contest. It's a great chance to enjoy a night out without the kids and meet other families in similar situations.

RSVP must be received by Oct. 18 to stacie@jeffersonwhitneyfoundation.org for accommodations.

JeffersonWhitney Foundation is located at 3466 Teays Valley Road and serves clients throughout the Tri-State area. For more information, visit their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/pages/JeffersonWhitney-Foundation/385592048179600.
