Putnam County Schools to host drug summit Oct. 13
WINFIELD -- Putnam County Schools will host a Putnam Drug Summit from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the Putnam County Schools Board of Education in Winfield.
Local experts and concerned community members who are interested in reducing drug use in the county are invited to attend.
"The purpose of this planning meeting is based on a simple principle: The greater the common understanding of a problem and the more people that work together, the better their ability to solve the problem," L. Danielle Gillispie, coordinator of Drug Prevention and Education for Putnam County Schools, said in a press release. "We have many groups and individuals that are concerned and working toward making Putnam County a better place to live, work and raise a family."
This Putnam Drug Summit is sponsored by Parents Against Addictions, the Putnam County Schools Office of Drug Prevention and Education, Putnam on Wellness and Putnam Youth Wellness.
For more information or to register for the event, e-mail lgillispie@access.k12.wv.us or call 304-586-0500, ext. 152.
