Suspicious vehicle draws attention of Putnam County Sheriff

WINFIELD -- The following information was taken from Putnam County Sherriff's office official reports.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Sheriff's deputies responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle at Liberty Square. The incident is still under investigation.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Deputies responded to a breaking and entering in the 30 block of Sycamore Road in Hurricane. No suspects were listed at this time.

DOMESTIC: An arrest was made at Country Roads Trailer Park in Poca following a call reporting a domestic dispute.

FRAUD: Deputies arrested a person after a fraud complaint in Nitro.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Deputies responded to a breaking and entering on Cow Creek Road in Hurricane. Police have a suspect.

AUTO THEFT: A vehicle was reported stolen in Hurricane. Police are still investigating.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 700 block of Winfield Road.

ASSAULT: Deputies are investigating an assault on Locust Street in Eleanor.

CITATION: Deputies were called to investigate a violation of the Groundwater Protection Act on U.S. 35 in Fraziers Bottom. Law enforcement issued a citation to the violators.

THEFT: Police are investigating two incidents of shoplifting, one in Winfield and the other in Buffalo.
