'Trunk or Treat' candy giveaway set for Oct. 31

TEAYS VALLEY -- All community children are invited to "Trunk or Treat" from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Kmart in Teays Valley.

The event, sponsored by Teays Valley Church of God, will feature a couple dozen decorated cars and characters in friendly costumes who will give out candy to all of the "Trunk or Treaters."

The church's pastor, Rev. Dr. Melissa Pratt commented, "We're expecting 600 kids this year. We enjoy the opportunity to connect with the families in Teays Valley. The kids always have a blast! We appreciate Kmart being such a great community partner."

Lighthouse Baptist to host Fall Festival

HURRICANE -- Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2440 U.S. 60, Hurricane, has planned its Fall Festival for Oct. 31.

Reservations are being taken now for craft booth spaces. Inside spaces cost $20.

Students invited to College Information Night

HURRICANE -- Truth and Liberty Bible College invites prospective students to attend a College Information Night at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, at Hurricane Bible Church.

The college's president will speak, and those who are interested can get more information about the college. Home school students, public school students, Christian school students and adults are welcome.
