Food Network to re-air 'Diners' episode featuring Hillbilly Hot Dogs

April 15, 2008 @ 08:59 PM

HUNTINGTON -- If a Food Network segment is good the first time, it's even better as leftovers.

The "Something Different" episode of the Food Network show, "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives," aired Monday night for the first time, but it is set to re-air plenty of times in the next few weeks.

Here's the schedule for the episode that features Sonny and Sharie Knight's Hillbilly Hot Dogs restaurant in Lesage, W.Va., just north of Huntington on Ohio River Road (W.Va. 2).

Air dates are 4 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday, April 20; 2:30 a.m. Monday, April 21; 9 p.m. Friday, April 25; midnight, Saturday, April 26; 1 p.m. Monday, April 28, and noon Friday, May 9.

In the episode description, Guy Fieri rolls out to find some places doing great food their own unique way: The West Virginia joint built into a couple of old buses, where they're serving one-pound, deep-fried hot dogs -- and three-pound burgers; The Florida bar that's doing classic French escargot and fresh mahi mahi sandwiches; and in Virginia, what looks like just another cafe, but with a classically trained chef who's making it all from scratch -- from chicken with feta, white wine and artichokes, to homemade pesto.
