November 15, 2012 @ 12:10 AM

HUNTINGTON — Huntington Police are investigating the second home invasion in a 26-hour period after robbers forced their way into a home Wednesday night.

The incident happened at 10:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Cabell Court, between 4th and 5th avenues near Turnpike Ford, according to Cabell County 911 dispatcher reports.

Initial reports indicated multiple suspects kicked in the back door of a residence and took a variety of items.

Officers on the scene said the suspects got away with a television, cash, a purse and cellphones before fleeing the area on foot. Officers said they could be dealing with up to four suspects.

Initial reports also indicted the suspects had pistols, but officers on the scene could not confirm what kind of weapons, if any, were used in the incident.

No one was injured in the incident.

The report of this incident comes as detectives are investigating a similar incident that took place in the 2500 block of 12th Avenue just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
