WVDEP awards recycling grants
CHARLESTON -- The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection awarded grants worth $1.452 million to 32 recipients through the agency's REAP Recycling Assistance Grants program.
Agencies in four local counties received funding from the program. Grants were awarded to state solid waste authorities, county commissions, municipalities, private industries and nonprofit organizations.
In Cabell County, the Cabell Solid Waste Authority was awarded $47,600, and Goodwill Industiries of KYOWVA Area was awarded $33,092.
In Wayne County, the Wayne County Commission was awarded $47,300, and the Wayne County Solid Waste Authority received $26,964.36.
