Christmas memories in Ashland
ASHLAND -- All eyes were on Carter and Winchester Avenues on Tuesday night as thousands of people lined the streets to take in the 24th annual Ashland Winter Wonderland of Lights Christmas Parade.
The parade is one of the hallmark events of the five-week long festival of lights, which began with a ceremony on Nov. 12. The festival is based around Ashland Central Park, where 50 holiday displays containing 850,000 lights will be available for public viewing until Jan. 6.
Bill Jackson, a founding member of the Boyd County Ambulance Service served as grand marshal for the event, which included ten divisions of competition for parade participants competing under the "Christmas Memories" theme.
