The parade is one of the hallmark events of the five-week long festival of lights, which began with a ceremony on Nov. 12. The festival is based around Ashland Central Park, where 50 holiday displays containing 850,000 lights will be available for public viewing until Jan. 6.
Bill Jackson, a founding member of the Boyd County Ambulance Service served as grand marshal for the event, which included ten divisions of competition for parade participants competing under the "Christmas Memories" theme.
