Thanksgiving Day dinners offered

HUNTINGTON -- Some local organizations are offering free Thanksgiving Day dinners that are open to the public.

The Huntington City Mission offers its annual dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22. The meal will be comprised of traditonal Thanksgiving foods. The mission is located at 1030 7th Ave., Huntington.

The Salvation Army Thanksgiving dinner, complete with 20 turkeys, sides and desserts furnished by area Walmart stores, will take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday at the Salvation Army, 1223 3rd Ave., Huntington. Entertainment also will be provided in the Salvation Army's chapel.

Thanksgiving dinner at Community of Grace United Methodist Church, 225 28th St., Huntington will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. The menu includes turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls and desserts. Delivery is available. Call 304-525-3581.
