IRONTON, Ohio -- Ironton hosted its annual Christmas parade Monday night, with the theme of "Sleigh Bells Ringing."
It included marching bands, cheerleaders, youth groups, Shriners and Santa.
The next Christmas parade in the Tri-State is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, in Huntington. Its theme is "A Salute to Heroes: Honoring Our Local Heroes," and will include members of the armed forces, police, fire, EMS, teachers or anyone considered a local hero. The grand marshal of this year's parade is Medal of Honor recipient Woody Williams. The parade will culminate in the lighting of the city Christmas tree at Pullman Square. The event is sponsored by Moses AutoMall.
The parade starts on 13th Street and will head west on 4th Avenue to 8th Street. Participants will then march down 8th Street to 3rd Avenue. From there, the parade will continue east on 3rd Avenue to Pullman Square.
