Holiday specials planned for Dec. 1
BARBOURSVILLE -- Some special holiday events are planned Saturday at the Huntington Mall, including a "Special Santa" opportunity for families of children with autism, as well as a holiday fashion show and a holiday tuba concert.
Special Santa, sponsored by Jefferson Whitney, will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Center Court. Santa will visit with children who have special needs. In addition to the Special Santa, there will be a sensory friendly play area for the children while they wait. Each parent will receive a free photo, and each child will receive a free cookie from Great American Cookie and a train ride aboard the All Smiles Aboard.
At 1 p.m. in the Macy's Court, 65 area models and Fashion Advisory Board members will hit the runway for the Holiday Fashion Show, showcasing more than 120 looks. There will be a chance to win prizes and receive a holiday tote bag at the show.
A special tuba Christmas concert will take place at 2 p.m. in Center Court.

The Huntington Mall's special holiday extended hours begin Dec. 3. They are as follows:
9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Dec. 3-13.
9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Dec. 14-16.
8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Dec. 17-23.
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 24.
Closed Dec. 25.
7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 26.
Hours go back to the usual 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 27-29.
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 30.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 31.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 1.
