Kids consignment sale to run Dec. 3-8
SOUTH POINT, Ohio -- A Kids Sale consignment sale is planned next week in South Point.
The sale goes on from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Dec. 3-8, in the space formerly occupied by Kmart.
Consigned clothing for infants, children and pregnant mothers will be sold, as well as kids furniture, gear, shoes and other accessories, toys and more.

Push for 12,000 food items continues
HUNTINGTON -- As part of continuing efforts to raise donations for several local food pantries, First Congregational United Church of Christ will hold a rally along the front of the church, located at 701 5th Ave., Huntington, with a tent set up for food or cash donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
The congregation has taken in more than 2,400 food items in their push to acquire 12,000 by Dec. 12.
Donations collected will help stock the shelves of service organizations from Milton to South Point, Ohio, including Cridlin Food & Clothing Pantry, the Eastern Cabell County Humanities Organization, the Tri-State AIDS Task Force and Compassion First in South Point, Ohio.

More than 1,500 parcels up in tax lien sale
IRONTON -- More than 1,500 parcels of property will be included in a tax lien sale Jan. 7, said Lawrence County Treasurer Steve Burcham.
The 1,506 properties are valued at $1.9 million. About 400 of the parcels have been offered for sale before, Burcham said.
