Big Sandy to host family fun day

TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va.-- Big Sandy Superstore in Teays Valley plans to host a family fun day on Thursday, July 31.

Store manager Sandi Peyton says the event will be from noon to 8 p.m.

Located behind Home Depot on Liberty Park Drive, the store lot will be filled with multiple inflatables and a dunking booth, along with stations for face painting, crafts and games for the kids, a Wheel of Winnings for the adults and refreshments including free hot dogs, drinks and snacks. A pie-throwing contest is planned.

Prizes include certificates from Sahara Tanning, the Spicy Pineapple restaurant and Husson's Pizza, Kroger's gift cards, services from Perfect Nails and Beth's Massage along with items from the store's showroom.

The store also will give away free school supplies to the first 50 children who come through the doors from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14.
