July 23, 2008 @ 12:00 AM

BARBOURSVILLE -- Five students have been chosen for the Huntington Mall's edition of the Fox television hit "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader."

The chosen fifth-graders were Micaela Camden from Buffalo Elementary; Jeremiah Parlock from Cox Landing Elementary; Abigail Parker from Barboursville Middle School; William Frazier from Huntington Middle School; and Courtney Parsley from Grace Christian School.

They will get to help out a contestant chosen to play the Huntington Mall's edition of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Macy's Dome in the mall.

Those who would like to be the contestant can register for a chance to play beginning Friday, Aug. 1, at the Macy's Dome and First Priority Federal Credit Union. The mall will pick one contestant to play on Aug. 23 for a chance at the grand prize, a $500 Huntington Mall back-to-school shopping spree. You must be present to play. The Huntington Mall's back-to-school events are sponsored by First Priority Federal Credit Union and WKEE-FM.

The fifth-graders chosen for the game also will have an opportunity to do the weather on WCHS 8/FOX 11 News.
