Police blotter: Woman tells officers she has been victim of identity theft

The following information was obtained from reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Department:

A woman on the 200 block of Nova Street told officers that she has been the victim of identity theft since last October.

The victim said that unknown people used her Social Security card to obtain numerous credit cards. The charges accumulated thus far have totaled nearly $10,000 and include charges made across the country.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A business located in the 5000 block of W.Va. 10 discovered that an unknown person broke into the business sometime Tuesday night.

The suspect caused more than $2,900 worth of damage to a window and door of the business. Nothing appears to be missing from the building and a bank deposit bag containing cash was left undisturbed on a desk in the area of initial entry.

The following information was obtained from reports from the Huntington Police Department:

BURGLARY: A man on the block of 200 block of Oakland Avenue told officers that between May 5 and June 26 unknown people cut padlocks and entered two vacant rental properties.

The thieves took copper pipes and two heating, ventilation and air conditioning units from the residence. The theft totaled a loss of more than $9,200.

LARCENY: At about midnight Wednesday, a woman told police that she was sitting at her computer on the outside of her apartment on the 300 block of 14th Street using her computer when unknown male approached her and grabbed the computer.

The victim said that he ran south on 14th Street and then went west on 4th Avenue.

She chased him but was unable to find the suspect. A search of the area by police did not result in an apprehension.

The value of the computer was approximately $1,100.

Booking records from the Western Regional Jail provided the following information:

Curtis Lee Adkins, 30, was incarcerated at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with felony forgery and uttering. His bond was $30,000.

Marsha Jean Bledsoe, 55, was incarcerated at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Her bond was $50,000 cash.

Lora Elaine Napier, 36, was incarcerated at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged her with felony child neglect. She was being held without bond.

Thomas Steven Napier, 37, was incarcerated at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with felony child neglect. He was being held without bond.
