Two arrested in Ky. on drug charges
ASHLAND -- Boyd County sheriff's deputies have made arrests in two separate drug cases this week, according to news releases from the sheriff's department.
Leonard L. Gervin Jr., 28, of Cincinnati and Jamie L. Thompson, 28, of the 3400 block of Roberts Drive, Ashland, were arrested Monday after deputies served a search warrant on Roberts Drive, according to the release. They were charged with trafficking in heroin.
Deputies recovered about 35 grams of powder heroin with a street value of $14,000 and an undisclosed amount of cash. Both men were transported to the Boyd County Detention Center in Catlettsburg.
In an unrelated case, Leron M. Taylor, 33, of the 2900 block of Bath Avenue, Ashland, was charged with trafficking in cocaine and transported to jail. An undisclosed amount of cash also was confiscated, according to the release.
