HUNTINGTON -- A Columbus, Ohio, man will spend two years and three months in federal prison, according to court documents and a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Stefon Ferguson, 20, learned his punishment Monday in U.S. District Court. He had pleaded guilty in February to distributing crack cocaine.
Ferguson's punishment includes the prison time and four years supervised release.
Federal prosecutors agreed to dismiss three charges in return for Ferguson's guilty plea. The dismissed allegations had charged him with two counts of distributing crack cocaine and a single count of possessing the drug with an intent to distribute.
The four charges were filed as part of a December 2007 indictment. The incidents took place between Aug. 20, 2007, and Nov. 11, 2007, in Huntington.
The Drug Enforcement Administration, the Huntington Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force and the Huntington Police Department participated in the investigation.
