Heiner's store held up; man arrested

HUNTINGTON — A man was arrested after two workers at the Heiner’s Surplus Store in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue in West Huntington were robbed at knifepoint late Saturday morning.

The incident was reported to Cabell County 911 at 11:21 a.m. The robber demanded cash before fleeing the store, the employees told police.

A young man matching the robber’s description was taken into custody a block away less than an hour after the crime took place. One of the employees was taken by a Huntington Police officer to provide a positive identification.
Brandon Mitchell Lewis, 20, was charged with a felony count of armed robbery.
The store reopened shortly before 1 p.m.
