OLBH recognized for hospital services
RUSSELL -- Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital has been recognized for services ranked among the top 10 percent in the nation, according to OLBH patients and the research firm Professional Research Consultants.
OLBH received four five-star distinctions and a four-star distinction from PRC. The number of five-star honors is an OLBH record.
OLBH received its five-star patient satisfaction honors, indicating ranking in the top 10 percent in the U.S., for its Bellefonte Pediatrics practice, Bellefonte Women's Care, the hospital's 4-Center and its outpatient gastrointestinal/endoscopy services.
The four-star honor went to the overall quality of care expressed by the hospital's inpatients. The designation indicates OLBH's patient satisfaction scores were in the top 25 percent in the nation.
PRC surveys OLBH patients concerning their satisfaction with the services they received.
OLBH's laboratory services and its anesthesia service also were honored with four-star awards.
Library to host female fitness program
HUNTINGTON -- The Cabell County Public Library will host a special program on female fitness, figure training and competition at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17.
Candace Layne, an active bodybuilding competitor, and her coach will be at the library to talk about her sport during the event. Information will include standards used in competitions, training techniques, diet, and more.
The library also has a large stock of books and videos designed to aid patrons who desire to raise their level of fitness, as well as a variety of cookbooks.
