'Christmas Stockings for Soldiers' initiative running now to Dec. 2
HUNTINGTON -- Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, a certified Veterans and Family Memorial Care Provider, is participating in the annual "Christmas Stockings for Soldiers" initiative now through Dec. 2.
Tri-State residents may stop by the funeral home and pick up a free Christmas stocking to take home, decorate and stuff with Christmas cheer. Stuffed stockings must be returned to the funeral home, 924 20th St., in Huntington by Dec. 2, 2009. The funeral home's business hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ferrell-Chambers will ship 25 stockings to troops stationed abroad in time for Christmas.
The funeral home is also an official drop off center for "Cell Phones for Soldiers."
