7-year-old hit by car, injuries not yet known

HUNTINGTON -- A 7-year-old child was transported to Cabell Huntington Hospital after being struck by a vehicle about 6:53 p.m. Thursday on 16th Street and 9th Avenue.

A Cabell County dispatcher said the Huntington Police Department, Huntington Fire Department and Cabell EMS were on the scene.

The child has not been identified as of Thursday evening. His injuries were unknown at press time.

Huntington Police could not be reached for comment but they are investigating the case.
