DUI amendment on Milton Council agenda
MILTON -- The Milton City Council will consider minor amendments to its driving under the influence ordinance.
City Council will take up the issue at 7 p.m. Tuesday during its first regularly scheduled meeting of the year.
The DUI amendment adopts language within West Virginia state law. Mayor Betty Sargent said doing so is not expected to drastically change law enforcement in the city.
In other news, Recorder Ken Klinger will discuss election nominating petitions and circulation time.
Sargent will announce a work session for Friday.
Other agenda spots are held by a representative from the Tri-State Airport Authority, the city's public works director, building permits and a business license.
The building permits include property along Florida Street, U.S. 60, East Main Street and Pinehaven Drive.
The business license involves Mountaineer State Fence Inc. of Charleston.
