Self-sufficient living focus of class at Wild Ramp

March 19, 2013 @ 11:17 PM

HUNTINGTON -- Guests took a hands-on approach Tuesday evening during a Beginner Homesteading class at The Wild Ramp in Huntington's Heritage Station.

The class, which focused on self-sufficient living, was taught by Tim and Stephanie Appleton, who run their own farm, Mil-Ton Farm in Ona, where they raise pastured, hormone-free eggs and meat. They also sell in-season produce.

During the course, the Appletons taught participants how to do things like cook from scratch and make soap.
