Man arrested in connection to St. Albans armed robbery
HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington man has been arrested in connection with a December armed robbery reported in St. Albans, according to the St. Albans Police Department.
Huntington Police assisted in arresting Cameron Layne, 30, along the streets of Huntington on Wednesday evening on warrants charging armed robbery and wanton endangerment.
Layne is accused of forcing his way into an apartment on Highland Drive in the early morning hours of Dec. 23, shooting at the resident's dog, and demanding and then stealing prescription medication.
He was taken to the Western Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Robert Farris, 21, of St. Albans, accused of being Layne's accomplice, was charged last month with armed robbery. He has been lodged in the South Central Regional Jail since his arrest.
Police continue to investigate the incident, and more arrests are possible.
