One arrest made after car crashes into bank
BARBOURSVILLE -- A man was arrested Thursday after a car crashed into the City National Bank in the 5200 block of U.S. 60.
Michael Lee Mount, 69, of Lesage, has been charged with felony destruction of property after deputies say he drove his 1997 Chevy Lumina through the front entry way doors of the bank Thursday morning, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
Numerous witnesses told deputies that the man intentionally drove into the building, causing approximately $25,000 worth of damage, according to the complaint.
Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas said a passenger was in the car with Mount and a dispute between them may have led to him driving into the building. No one was injured.
Mount was taken to the Western Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
