Chocolate Celebration in need of vendors

February 16, 2008 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- Vendors and donors are needed for the upcoming inaugural Chocolate Celebration by Faith in Action of the River Cities.

The celebration will take place at the Huntington Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15.

Faith in Action is asking groups, individuals or businesses to make and donate themed baskets to be sold by silent auction. The group also seeks local bakers or confectioners to participate as chocolate vendors.

Baskets may contain candy, toys, art supplies, books, videos or anything a child, adult or pet might enjoy. Baskets need to be turned in to the group's office by Friday, March 14.

The public is encouraged to donate or attend the event to bid on baskets and sample chocolate creations. All proceeds benefit Faith in Action of the River Cities, an interfaith organization which provides nonmedical assistance free of charge to the elderly and adults with disabilities in Cabell and northern Wayne counties and Lawrence County, Ohio.

Anyone interest in participating should call Faith in Action at (304) 697-1274 or (877) 367-1271.
