Get Healthy Tri-State: Healthy events extend through holiday season

HUNTINGTON -- Healthy activities don't stop over the holidays. A number of health conscious events, including screenings, support groups and blood drives, are scheduled in the Tri-State this week.

Upcoming events include the following:

9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital's mobile health center will provide services at Bellefonte Primary Care in Ashland, Ky., 2028 Winchester Ave., must schedule an appointment by calling 606-833-3338.

4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, diabetic support group meets at HIMG, 304-399-2367.

6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, breastfeeding class at Cabell Huntington Hospital, pre-registration required by calling 304-526-2229.

9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, American Red Cross blood drive at Huntington High School, 1 Highlander Way, Huntington.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, American Red Cross blood drive at ITT Technical Institute, 5183 U.S. 60 East, Huntington.

11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, Zumba fitness aerobic exercise at St. Mary's Medical Center Wellness Center, first floor of the Regional Heart Institute building, $2 for Wellness Center members, $4 to the public, 304-208-4525.
