Man charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm
HUNTINGTON -- A federal grand jury in Huntington returned an indictment on Tuesday charging a Huntington man with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Walter Thomas Wilson, 29, was arrested on Oct. 19 with a loaded 9mm handgun. Wilson had previously been charged with two counts grand larceny and one count of breaking and entering in Barbour County, W.Va.
Wilson faces 30 years to life in prison if convicted.
The Huntington Police Department and U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms jointly conducted the investigation.
