BARBOURSVILLE -- The Huntington Mall continued its back to school festivities Sunday with a visit from super hero Thor to help collect food for the Huntington Area Food Bank.
The food drive, which continues through Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the mall, is part of the Feeding America initiative to provide school students food to take home with them on Fridays so they won't go hungry on the weekends.
A red food collection barrel will be located at the main entrance to the mall through Sept. 3. Organizers are asking for microwave macaroni and cheese, cans of pop-top ravioli, fruit cups, instant oatmeal and gummy fruit snacks.
