November 08, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

MILTON -- Local Girl Scouts are hosting a food drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, to benefit the Eastern Cabell County Humanities Organization.

They will be collecting nonperishable food items at three locations: Culloden Elementary School, Source4 in Perry Morris Square in Milton, and the Walgreens in Barboursville. Current needs are peanut butter, jelly, snack items and boxed foods.

The collection is part of November being National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Month.

ECCHO is located at 1038 Smith St., Milton, and serves as an emergency aid food bank and clothing pantry. It is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Those seeking help must have a proof of residency with a recent utility bill or current Medicaid card.
