Putnam County

Registration is by appointment only, and students must be registered in their home school zones. If unsure of school zone, call 304-586-0500, Ext. 106.

Wednesday-Thursday, March 18-19, Hurricane Town Elementary School, 300 Harbour Lane, Hurricane.

Monday-Tuesday, March 23-24, West Teays Elementary School, 3676 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.

Wednesday-Friday, March 25-27, Winfield Elementary School, 2 Wall St., Winfield.

Monday-Tuesday, March 30-31, Conner Street Elementary School, 445 Conner St., Hurricane.

Wednesday, April 1, Confidence Elementary School, HC 63, Box 163, Red House.

Thursday-Friday, April 2-3, Scott Teays Elementary School, 4308 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot.

Lawrence County

Chesapeake Elementary School, 11359 County Road 1, Chesapeake. Students whose last name starts with "A-L" come between 8:30-11 a.m. Monday, April 6; if last name starts with "M-Z" from noon-2 p.m. Bring your child and be prepared to stay one to one and a half hours. Required: birth certificate with the state seal, social security card, immunization records and in case of divorce, a copy of the custody order or decree. Also bring proof of residency. The child must be 5 years of age on or before July 31. Call 740-867-3448.

South Point Elementary School, 501 Washington St., South Point. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. Child must be 5 years old by Aug. 1. Bring the following items: child's birth certificate, social security card, shot records and custody papers or decree (if divorced). Stop by the school before Tuesday, March 17, to pick up the paper work. Next registration date is Tuesday, April 21, during "New Kids in School Night." Call 740-377-2756.

Fairland East Elementary School, 10732 County Road 107, Proctorville. Friday, April 3. Students who will enter first grade, but did not attend Fairland kindergarten should register. Children must be 5 years old before Aug. 1. Bring the following documents: child's official birth certificate, immunization record, social security card, proof of residency (electric bill, water bill, etc.) and in cases of divorce, a copy of the court order designating the custodial parent. Children do not need to attend. Appointments are required; call 740-886-3120.

Symmes Valley Elementary School, 14860 Ohio 141, Willow Wood. Students whose last name starts with "A-M" will be registered Wednesday, April 1. If the last name starts with "N-Z," they will be registered Thursday, April 2. Children must be 5 years old by Aug. 1. Bring the child's birth certificate, immunization record, guardianship or custody papers and social security card. The school nurse will check immunization records and birth certificates. Birth certificate must have the state seal on it. Call 740-646-0022.
