Motivational speaker to discuss goal setting
HUNTINGTON -- Motivational speaker Will Cross will discuss overcoming the challenges of diabetes as part of the Joslin Diabetes Center's American Diabetes Month events.
The presentation will be 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in Room 212 of St. Mary's Regional Heart Institute. The Diabetes Center is an educational affiliate of St. Mary's Medical Center.
Cross, who has diabetes, will discuss how goal setting, preparation and determination can help people achieve goals.
Cross has successfully climbed Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world, as well as walked to the North and South poles. In 2001, he climbed 15 unmapped, unexplored mountains in Greenland, and has traveled to Patagonia, Mountains of the Moon, the Sahara Desert and the Thar Desert of India.
Cross has a bachelor of arts degree from Allegheny College and a master of science degree in education from Duquesne University.
