Local artists display their work
HUNTINGTON -- The rain stayed away long enough for two dozen artists to showcase their talents Sunday in Ritter Park.
The Tri-State Arts Association has hosted Art in the Park for more than 50 years, said Barbara Delligatti, a board member and the event coordinator.
The two-day art show Saturday and Sunday featured paintings, glass jewelry, photography and wood carvings from a bevy of local artists. The event gives artists, especially new ones, a venue to showcase their work and gain experience negotiating with buyers, Delligatti said.
