Police blotter: Man reports shots fired into his Swan Road residence

The following information was provided by the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:

A 44-year-old man reported that someone fired shots into his residence along Swan Road on Monday morning. The exterior of the home and some furniture sustained a total of $800 in damages. Police have a suspect.

BURGLARY: A 43-year-old woman reported that someone took more than $3,700 in electronics and jewelry from her home in the 3700 block of Norwood Avenue Sunday morning. Police have a suspect.

LARCENY: A 55-year-old woman reported that someone took an air conditioning unit worth $6,500 and an antique plow worth $300 from her residence in the 9200 block of Coopers Ridge Road Friday afternoon. Police have a suspect.

BURGLARY AND BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 43-year-old woman reported that someone took $3,400 in electronics from her home in the 4600 block of Hughes Branch Road late Monday afternoon. The report stated it appeared that forced entry had been made through a door in the rear of the victim's home, which sustained $200 in damages.

The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:

An employee at Plumbing Helper in the 2600 block of 8th Avenue reported that sometime between Friday evening and Monday morning someone took $3,100 in tools, guns and copper from the business. The report states the items later were located at a local recycling business.

LARCENY: A 23-year-old man reported that someone took a laptop computer worth $800, a television worth $500 and a guitar worth $200 from his residence in the 700 block of 11th Avenue on Aug. 18. Police have a suspect.

GRAND LARCENY: A 70-year-old man reported that someone took $1,175 in tools from his rental property in the 1400 block of Columbia Avenue sometime Sunday night. Police have a suspect.

BURGLARY: A 63-year-old man reported that sometime between Aug. 19 and 30 someone took a pool table worth $800, $3,500 in furniture, a washer/dryer unit worth $800 and a refrigerator worth $500 from his residence in the 2300 1/2 block of Jackson Avenue.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: An employee for the Republican National Committee headquarters in the 300 block of 9th Street reported that someone vandalized the front windows of the building by using a blue permanent marker to write statements about party members who had signs hanging in the headquarters' windows.

LARCENY: A 24-year-old woman reported that someone took $250 in fishing gear from her front porch in the 2300 block of Jefferson Avenue Friday.

The following information was provided by the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:

Everett Carl Dean, 21, was incarcerated at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County arrested him in relation to an outstanding warrant. Bond was set at $16,000.

Michael Lee Ward, 33, was incarcerated at 12:59 Tuesday. Authorities in Mason County charged him with operating a meth lab. Bond was set at $50,000.

Halicia Melbar, 19, was incarcerated at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with forgery. Bond has not been set, pending arraignment.

Joshua Andrew Bryan, 36, was incarcerated at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a domestic violence petition violation. Bond was set at $5,000.
