Mountain State Council of the Blind to host convention
CHARLESTON -- The Mountain State Council of the Blind will host its Annual State Convention Sept. 17 and 18 at the Wingate Inn in Charleston.
The convention will include exhibitors demonstrating technology and other blindness related products and live entertainment. Chuck Huss from the Department of Rehabilitation Services will give a presentation about the Low Vision Driving Program.
Other presentations during the 2010 convention include a discussion about cell phone accessibility and other products tested by AFB Tech presented by Darren Burton; a presentation of pottery by a blind individual by Marcia Springston; and an informative discussion with the Mitch Pomerantz, president of the American Council of the Blind.
