Boyd meth bust nets 4 arrests
CANNONSBURG, Ky. -- Tips about possible methamphetamine activity at a Cannonsburg retailer led to four arrests late Tuesday, according to a press release issued by the Boyd County Sheriff's Office.
Those arrested were April Swanigan, 24; Joseph Allen Johnson, 22; and Jason Lewis, 30, all of Olive Hill, Ky., along with Adrienne E. Smith, 28, of Grayson, Ky. Each were charged with felony manufacturing meth and possession of meth precursors. Smith also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Swanigan additionally faces a prior, meth-related warrant.
Deputies received tips of a possible meth lab in a vehicle at the Cannonsburg retailer, located in the 1300 block of Cannonsburg Road. Additional information indicated those in the vehicle had purchased meth ingredients from the store, the release states.
Authorities located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop for no registration.
