Local church hosts special service for Independence Day

Jul. 03, 2013 @ 11:06 PM

HUNTINGTON -- One local church gave its Wednesday evening church service a patriotic spin.

Christ Temple Church along Johnstown Road turned the weekly service into a Summer Celebration Service on Wednesday night.

The event included live music, carnival games and inflatable play equipment. Guest speakers at the event included Huntington Mayor Steve Williams and Pastor Chuck Lawrence.

The event was topped off with a traditional fireworks show.

Later this month, the church will host a Chinese Bible Camp. The camp will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Wednesday, July 17, to Saturday, July 20.

Christ Temple Church is located at 2400 Johnstown Road in Huntington.
