Summer Motion continues
ASHLAND -- "Gimme Some Lovin" and "Spooky" were just some of the hits that fans got to hear Thursday at Summer Motion in Ashland.
"Gimme Some Lovin'" performers Spencer Davis Group and "Spooky" performers Atlanta Rhythm Section were the headliners at the annual festival, which this year is in Ashland's Central Park.
Here is the lineup for the rest of the festival:
Friday, July 3
Can Food Collection for River Cities Harvest during concerts
8 p.m. The Legends
9:15 p.m. Micky Dolenz (of the Monkees)
Saturday, July 4
8 a.m. 10K race (17 Street and Central Avenue)
9 a.m.-1 p.m. Car show, $10
10 a.m.-4 p.m. Medical screenings
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Backyard Dixie Jazz Stompers (food court)
2 p.m. New OCW wrestling
1, 3 and 5 p.m. Puppet shows
1 p.m. Live entertainment on the bandstand
All day activities: Games for children, inflatable rides, giant craft show, various exhibits, including Kentucky National Guard, food court with 15 vendors, science projects and demonstrations, David Browning as "The Mayberry Deputy," petting zoo from Honey Hill farm, The Living Treasures Animal and Reptile Exhibit, the world's largest pinball machine, Boyd County Public Library.
Saturday, July 4
3 p.m. Fifth Annual "Shine and Show" for all emergency vehicles, Central Avenue from 18th to 20th streets.
