Person who downloads 1,000th book to get prize
HUNTINGTON -- The Cabell County Public Library will give a prize to the person who downloads the 1,000th book from the library via the audiobook download service.
"We were pleasantly surprised to find that patrons have no trouble downloading audiobooks. It really is very easy," according to Ralph Oppenheim, popular services coordinator at the main library.
Oppenheim said the collection has been growing steadily, and proof of the success of the service is the fact that it is getting close to hitting its 1,000th download.
To celebrate, the library will give away an MP3 device to the patron who downloads that 1,000th book (as of July 4, books have been downloaded a total of 923 times.)
