'Super Saturday' event planned for March 6
HUNTINGTON -- The 10th annual "Super Kids, Super Families, Super Saturday" event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington is free and open to the public.
The event is sponsored by Success by 6, a United Way of the River Cities' initiative, in partnership with St. Mary's Pediatrics, The Herald-Dispatch and 93.7 The Dawg. Exhibitors and vendors will provide activities for children which highlight the Success by 6's 12 messages on raising healthy children. Activities include face painting and arts & crafts.
Raffle prizes will be drawn every 15 minutes. Grand prizes include bowling packages to Strike Zone, autographed books from local authors, movie passes to Marquee Cinemas and more.
The event was scheduled in February but was postponed due to inclement weather.
