Police blotter: Columbus man charged with felony drug possession

The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:

Huntington Police responded to a call for possible drug transactions at a residence in the 1700 block of 9th Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The report noted that police have responded several times to the residence in regards to possible drug and prostitution activity.

Michael Day Price, 26, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver. Police confiscated $475 worth of oxycodone pills and two plastic bags filled with $2,000 and $1,000 and $176 in cash.

He was incarcerated at the Western Regional Jail at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set $50,000.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A complainant from the 20th Street Service Center, 2001 10th Ave., reported that someone broke out a panel on the garage door, entered and took an old cash register with an unknown amount of money inside and 21 West Virginia inspection stickers (1082177 to 1082197). The incident took place sometime between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

BURGLARY: A 21-year-old man reported that his apartment in the 2500 block of 3rd Avenue was broken into and burglarized sometime between 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and 5:20 a.m. Wednesday. Reported missing were a flatscreen television, laptop and a keyboard. In addition to the broken window, the total loss was estimated at $1,400.

FALSE PRETENSE: A 24-year-old Huntington man reported Wednesday that a former roommate stole his credit card and made more than $4,000 in unauthorized purchases from February through July of 2009. He said the suspect has refused to pay him back.

The following information was provided by the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:

David Scott Arbaugh, 19, was incarcerated at 12:55 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with a felony bail piece connected to prior charges. Bond was denied.

Richard Lee Kirk, 20, was incarcerated at 6:07 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony attempt to disarm law enforcement, along with misdemeanor public intoxication, disorderly conduct, obstruction and assault on an officer. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

William Michael Nickles, 32, was incarcerated at 1:13 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, an unspecified felony warrant and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Bond was $40,000.

Argie Lee Jeffers, 44, was incarcerated at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony grand larceny and a felony family court warrant. Bond was denied.

Timothy Alan Ward, 27, was incarcerated at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with two bail pieces connected to six charges. He also faces a home confinement violation in Kanawha County. Bond was denied.
