Annual Home and Garden Show kicks off at Big Sandy

HUNTINGTON -- Warmer temperatures have given way to a full-fledged case of spring fever (and spring cleaning) at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena this weekend, as thousands flock to the 2010 WSAZ Home and Garden Show in the show's remaining days Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

More than 120 vendors are on-hand with the latest ideas, products and services to improve, upgrade and clean up your home and garden areas. Businesses will be touting everything from concrete to landscape, kitchen improvements to spas and jewels to pools.

An Adventure Garden for children will be set up with a petting zoo and interactive garden. WSAZ home and garden expert John Marra will be on-hand to answer questions and dispense advice throughout the weekend.

Saturday's daily seminars sponsored by the Tri-State Master Gardeners include:

Admission is $5 for adults, $4.50 for seniors, $1 for children age six to 12 and free for children five and younger. Tickets are available at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena box office.

The WSAZ Home and Garden Show continues Saturday at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, $4.50 for seniors, $1 for children (6-12) and free for kids 5 and under.
