Trees planted at courthouse in recognition of Arbor Day

Apr. 25, 2013 @ 10:44 PM

HUNTINGTON -- The Cabell County Commission and city of Huntington recognized Arbor Day by planting trees on the Cabell County Courthouse grounds Thursday.

The city of Huntington also received its Tree City USA certificate and flag from a representative with the West Virginia Department of Forestry.

The Arbor Day Foundation named Huntington as a 2012 Tree City USA last week in honor of its commitment to effective urban forest management. It is the 13th year that Huntington has earned the designation.
