Bridge inspection closes a lane
HUNTINGTON -- One westbound lane of Interstate 64 will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, as crews complete a routine inspection of the Jeffrey P. Ball Memorial Bridge at the Hal Greer Boulevard Exit.
Delays can be expected.
Monday's inspection focused on the eastbound side. Crews found no significant issues, according to Scott Eplin, a district manager for the state Division of Highways. He said federal standards require the bridge to be inspected every two years,
