Police blotter: Two teens charged with break-in, fleeing

Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:

A 16-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy were charged with felony breaking and entering and misdemeanor fleeing in connection with a break-in at Enslow Middle School about 2:30 a.m. Thursday. The juveniles climbed through a window to get into the school. Officers found the boys hiding nearby and located a gym bag containing eight laptops and eight AC adapters. The laptops were returned to school personnel.

ARMED ROBBERY: Several men wearing all black and masks and carrying black handguns forced their way into a home in the 2700 block of 1st Avenue between 12:05 and 12:20 a.m. Thursday. The woman who reported the incident said it began when she answered her door to a man who asked to speak to her boyfriend. The woman said she went to get him and the two began talking. She said the man who had come to the door then stepped out to get some clothes and returned with four other males. She said one of the men pushed her with his gun and took her cell phone. The men then searched the home before leaving. It was unknown if anything else was taken.

BURGLARY: More than $1,100 in various jewelry, silver dollars, and Lortabs were stolen from a residence in the 1500 block of Washington Boulevard between 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

ARSON TO A VEHICLE: A vehicle was set on fire in the 1800 block of 10th Avenue early Thursday morning. Witnesses saw someone take clothing out of the back of the vehicle and walk away, and they saw the passenger side of the vehicle catch on fire.

FOUND CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: An estimated $400 in crack cocaine was found inside a green stuffed animal frog in a vehicle previously towed in Huntington.

SOLICITING PROSTITUTION: Three women were arrested Wednesday on charges of soliciting prostitution.

Stacy Ellen Gilpin, 37, of Huntington, was arrested in the 1800 block of 71/2 Alley bout 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of misdemeanor soliciting prostitution.

Misty Marie SaPic, 32, of Huntington was arrested in the 2000 block of 71/2 Alley around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday on a misdemeanor charge of soliciting prostitution.

Misty Dawn Walters, 31, of Ceredo, was arrested in the 1300 block of 71/2 Alley around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday on a misdemeanor charge of soliciting prostitution.

Reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Office provided the following information:

LARCENY: A 32-inch Phillips flat screen television valued at more than $800 was stolen from a hotel room in Barboursville between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Booking records from the Western Regional Jail provided the following information:

Hugh Douglas Conley, 28, was incarcerated at 7:40 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with felony breaking and entering. Bond was $15,000.

Dewey Wayne Foster, 27, also was incarcerated at 7:40 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Lincoln County also charged him with felony breaking and entering. Bond was $15,000.

Charles Lee Woods, 24, of Huntington, was incarcerated at 1:55 a.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. He was arrested in the area of 17th Street and Artisan Avenue, according to records from the Huntington Police Department. Bond was $26,000.

Nathan Daniel Petrie, 19, was incarcerated at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Mason County charged him with felony nighttime burglary. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Wesley Cameron Leek, 18, was incarcerated at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony armed robbery. Bond was $25,000.

Carman Ruth Slone, 32, was incarcerated at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged her with felony receiving/transferring stolen property. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

David Luke Dupree, 29, was incarcerated at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a felony bench warrant. Bond was denied.
