Police blotter: More than $1,600 in items stolen from 25th Street residence

Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:

More than $1,600 in items was stolen from a residence in the 1000 block of 25th Street between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday. Missing items include a laptop, purse, food stamp card and $60 in cash.

BURGLARY: More than $1,500 in items were stolen from a residence in the 500 block of 13th Avenue between 9 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. Missing items included DVDS, CDs, a six-string Alvarez acoustic guitar, a hard case with various items and a duffel bag.

BURGLARY: A Sony laptop valued at an estimated $1,300 was stolen from a residence in the 1900 block of Buffington Avenue between 11 p.m. Monday and around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

LARCENY: A $1,200 laptop was stolen from a residence in the 2900 block of Staunton Road between 5 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday.

DISTURBANCE: Huntington police observed a large altercation taking place in front of a bar in the 800 block of 4th Avenue around 2:20 a.m. Sunday. Several bar patrons were observed running out of the business with wounds, and patrons also were throwing beer bottles in the street. Patrons told officers a large fight had occurred inside and that staff had used pepper spray but the fighting continued. When officers entered the bar, patrons were breaking bottles inside, too. Patrons then began to form large crowds outside of the bar, and threats and disorderly conduct continued for several minutes.

BREAKING AND ENTERING AN AUTO: A Huntington man was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering a vehicle around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities found him in possession of a camcorder, two digital cameras, cotton gloves, watch, iPod, camera case, flashlight, a backpack, $31 in cash and more than $9 in change.

Booking records from the Western Regional Jail provided the following information:

Johnny Anthony Barajas, 31, was incarcerated around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him as being a fugitive from justice. He was denied bond.

Reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Office provided the following information:

BURGLARY: More than $1,200 in items were stolen from a residence in the 7600 block Left Fork Union Ridge Road in Lesage between 1:30 and 3:50 p.m. Tuesday. Missing items include a Nintendo Wii, air compressor, a Taurus 9-millimeter handgun, a pistol, 55 Lortab tablets and a digital camera.
